HOW MUCH does HungryPig.com charge retailers for its online services?

To celebrate the launch of our site, we are pleased to offer any restaurant or catering company full access to all of our site features COMPLETELY FREE for 3 months. This includes access to online menus, fax ordering, e-coupons, detailed restaurant listings, and issuing retailers their own unique URL (Universal Resource Locator) that can use to send their customers directly to their menu/ordering page and bypass our site completely. After the expiry of this limited time offer, retailers may continue to receive access by paying a nominal monthly fee. How do retailers COLLECT PAYMENT from their online customers?

Because HungryPig.com only acts as a facilitator (bringing customers orders right to a retailers fax machine) the retailer maintains total control over financial transactions and the running of their business - as it should be!

How do restaurants UPDATE THEIR MENUS AND E-COUPONS?

HungryPig.com uses password protected advanced smartpage technologies to allow each retailer to update all aspects of their menus, e-coupon offerings, and restaurant listings so fast and easily that within seconds new consumers loging into our system will see their revisions.

What information do retailers MAINTAIN CONTROL over?

To enable retailers to control all aspects of their online presence, HungryPig.com provides a comprehensive "Vendor Access" section which is protected by both user names and passwords. In this area retailers can control their restaurant description that appears throughout our site (i.e. services offered, food category, and detailed restaurant description), set take-out discounts and delivery charges, and identify applicable taxes to be applied to purchases. In addition, there are "Vendor Access" subsections which provide total control over menus (sections, items, descriptions, and price structures), and e-coupon offerings (number to issue, description of offer, and expiry date). We have even included an hours of operation section where the retailer can set the exact times to activate (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) menus for each day of the week along with an online calendar where the retailer can identify any "closed" dates throughout the year!

What INFORMATION TRACKING SERVICES does HungryPig.com provide to retailers?

To help retailers track their online success, HungryPig.com also offers a full reporting structure that allows retailers review current and past orders (including items and prices) in real-time and see how many people have visited their menu page on an ongoing basis. These features give retailers the ability to actually quantify and track the return on their online investment - unlike traditional media alternatives.

How are FAX ORDERS SENT?

Once a customer has selected the items they wish to purchase a summary of the order is presented to them along with a total cost including applicable taxes and discounts. After approving the order they are given the option to either "Phone in Order" or "Fax in Order" If they selected the fax in option a copy of their entire order is sent using a state of the art PC to FAX technology through the Internet to the retailers Fax Machine (and/or email address). If for some reason the retailers FAX machine is busy at the time of transmission the delivery system will continue redialing for 15 minutes.

Can restaurants offer TAKE-OUT DISCOUNTS?

Yes. By simply designating a take-out discount (percentage or dollar value) on the Vendors very own "Maintenance Page" the applicable discount will be automatically applied to any qualifying take-out orders.

Why is my CITY OR NEIGHBORHOOD missing?

We are currently adding new cities and neighborhoods on an ongoing basis. Before contacting us with your specific location please check to see if it might already be in our database under a larger regional category.

What are PIG RATING and how are they determined?

Pig Ratings are a way for us to let our website visitors know which restaurants are the most successful (both in terms of online visits and the level of media recognition achieved). To ensure an unbiased rating, our website calculates Pig Ratings based on a complex algorithm which takes into account the number of media awards the restaurant has received, the amount of online orders processed and the volume of traffic visiting a specific restaurant's menu/ordering page.

Do you have a PRIVACY policy?

Of course we have a privacy policy. In fact, it is important that you know that any information provided on this site will not be distributed to any third parties. In addition, we protect the privacy of consumers and retailers by running the site from our own secured netserver and DO NOT collect credit card data or food payments. Retailer will receive a detailed fax (or email) summary of orders and complete the transaction independently!
